Ryanair has agreed to make sure all passengers affected by flight cancellations are “fully aware” of their rights and entitlements.
The company has said it has met with Ireland’s aviation regulator and is now issuing a “clarification email” to those affected – roughly 20,000 people.
The email will outline people’s right to a refund, explain how they can be booked onto another flight and whether they can claim expenses.
But Ryanair hit out at the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority, complaining that British Airways had not been held accountable for a “computer meltdown” that affected thousands of people.
